Thirty spokes meet in the hub,
but the empty space between them
is the essence of the wheel.
Pots are formed from clay,
but the empty space between it
is the essence of the pot.
Walls with windows and doors form the house,
but the empty space within it
is the essence of the house

I am Legend
"What do we leave behind when we cross each frontier? Each moment seems split in two; melancholy for what was left behind and the excitement of entering a new land." - Ernesto 'Ché' Guevara in Motorcycle Diaries.

Let there be Light!!!
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness." (Genesis 1:1-4 RSV)

The Beginning.
Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.

The odd one out...
leaves are green, the silence seen,
the odd duck stood out as the dean,
not in mean, but in rein,
the odd duck stood out chewing the gean.
'jump'n go, duck'n go',
'wht'ya guyz'r waiting for?'
thus he spake, the voice soft,
echoes waving very oft.
ducklings jumped, slowly went,
shuffling round, blending the sound,
leaves are hosed, the silence paused,
the 'odd guy' stood in, foto-ing the cause.

About: My Pazhani Trip...
I, with my appa&amma, went for a pazhani trip. We went in a Tata Sumo from Palaghat to Pazhani via Pollachi. Pollachi, as heard in the films - a perfect market area...u won't believe that sellers are standing in the scorching heat of the sun with just a hand-kerchief on their heads ..yelling at their highest pitch...
We left palaghat by around 10am and reached pazhani by 12.15pm.. the trip was a kinda ok. the road upto pollachi is not so good.. but after pollachi we had an excellent road to travel on..
Had a good time at darshan inside Pazhani... darshan there has become money-bound.. give 150 bucks and u can go much nearer for darshan.. the pujaris there will come with prasadam and poovu and aduthu vannu oru nannavum illathe kai neeti chodichu vaangicholum:-))
we didn't climb the 1008 steps in pazhani.. we went up & down in the cable-car..
couldn't stop me from klicking some snaps at pazhani.. its quite beautiful to see the vayalukal from the top of pazhani malai.

Maha Ganapathim
Sri Gananatha...
About:
Sri Gananatha, undoubtedly the first 'Geetham' to be taught to all who learn Carnatic Music, has its own style of melody. Purandaradasa has composed such a melody in praise of Lord Ganesha in the ragam: Malahari (Janya Raga of 15th Melakartha Ragam: Mayamalavagowla) in Chathurasra Jathi Rupaka Thalam.
Here goes the description of the geetham:
Pallavi:
Sri Gananatha Sindhoora Varna Karuna Saagara Kari Vadana
Lambodhara Lakumi-karaa Ambaa Sutha Amara Vinutha
Meaning:
O leader of the pramada ganas, (“sri gana natha”), you are the colour of vermillion (“sindhura varna”), and the ocean of compassion (“karuna sagara”). You have the visage (“vadana”) of the mighty elephant (“kari”) and a protruding belly (“lambodara”). You hold goddess lakshmi (“lakumi”) in your hand (“kara”). O son of Parvathi (“amba sutha”) you are worshipped by (“vinutha”) the gods (“amara”).
Charanam 1:
Siddha Chaarana Gana Sevitha Siddhi Vinayaka The Namo Namo
Meaning:
You have all the holy men at your feet (“siddha charana”) and you are worshipped by the pramadha ganas who are the followers of lord Siva (“gana sevitha”). You grant your devotees all their wishes (“siddhi vinayaka”) and I bow to you (“the namo ”).
Charanam 2:
Sakala Vidyaadi Poojitha Sarvothama The Namo Namo
Meaning:
You are the first (“aadi”) one to receive obeisance (“poojitha”) when setting upon acquiring any kind of knowledge (“sakala vidhya”). You are the greatest one of all (“sarvothama”) and I pray to you.

Wallpapers...
Here are some wallpapers that I've made from some of my snaps.
Mancompu, a village in Alleppey district. Always beautiful.. more beautiful when it rains..:-)
The Golden Bird is the beauty here...
Got this snap when I went on a circuit to the Bannarghatta National Park, Bannarghatta, Karnataka.
Squirrels have their own beauty.

Pencil Drawing?
Does this resemble a pencil drawing? If it does, it's not. If it doesn't, you're right:-).
This is a picture I took from my terrace. The squirrel was trying its best to get something out from the piece of the coconut-shell. When I came with the camera, she posed for me beautifully. After a while, she left the shell and ran - hope she got what she want out of her hardwork.
Isn't it quite rightly said that 'A free lunch is only found in mouse-traps' :-)
